Practice set for the scottish snare drum
Practice set for the scottish snare drum
I have made this practice set for scottish snare drums as a christmas gift for my son, who learns the snare drums at the Bagad of Perros Guirec :
The crown is made of teack wood and is a segmented circle. The stricking area is made of rubber.
The sticks are wood turned from ash. They have a tin inlaid decoration, following the style of old breton bombards and binious.
The back tip of the sticks is decorated with a dot of abalone pearl. (from Perros Guirec )
